When Alabama travels to Mississippi State on Tuesday night, the Crimson Tide could have an especially depleted lineup as three players could be out for the SEC game.

An AP report said on Monday that guard Ricky Tarrant will miss his fourth consecutive game with a right leg injury. Also doubtful for the game is Tarrant’s backup at point guard, Retin Obasohan.

Forward Michael Kessens is also battling a sprained ankle that he sustained in the second half against LSU. Alabama head coach Anthony Grant should know more about the status of Kessens after practice on Monday.

If Obasohan misses another game, the Crimson Tide have to rely on more inexperienced players at the point like freshman Justin Coleman, who struggled to a 1-for-10 outing against LSU on Saturday. Alabama is 14-9 on the season and only 4-6 in the SEC.

A 6-foot-2 junior, Tarrant is Alabama’s second-leading scorer at 13.1 points per game while the 6-foot-9 Kessens is the team’s leading rebounder. A 6-foot-1 junior, Obasohan is averaging 3.2 points and 2 rebounds per game on the season.
