New Mexico junior Jordan Goodman will be out for the rest of the season, as the forward is shutting it down after facing multiple injuries during the year.

Goodman and Lobo head coach Craig Neal announced the decision during a press conference on Monday and Goodman will have surgery to repair bone spurs in his right foot that have caused him to miss action during the season. The junior college transfer also missed time with a concussion earlier in the 2014-15 campaign.

Playing in 19 games for New Mexico this season, the 6-foot-9 Goodman averaged 6.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting 36 percent from the field and 25 percent from 3-point range.

With New Mexico already missing starting guard Cullen Neal for the season, this is just another tough rotational loss for the Lobos. New Mexico currently sits at 14-11 on the season and 6-7 in the Mountain West.

Once considered a top-100 national prospect in high school, the well-traveled Goodman was committed to Rutgers, Texas Tech and Georgetown during his high school career before playing at a junior college stop and finding his way to New Mexico. When healthy, Goodman is a dynamic offensive talent at forward who can make a big impact if healthy next season.
