Game of the Night: Purdue at Indiana, 7:00 p.m.

These days, the Big Ten has more visible rivalries that this, but that doesn’t change just how heated the rivalry between the Boilermakers and the Hoosier faithful. The game itself should be fun as well. Purdue won the first matchup between these two in West Lafayette, as they took advantage of their size on the interior. In Assembly Hall, will Indiana’s high-0ctane offense and lethal three-point shooting be enough to get them a key win?

Who’s Getting Upset?: No. 9 Utah at Oregon State, 11:00 p.m.

Oregon State has been one of the most surprising teams in the country, sitting at 7-5 in Pac-12 play with a win at home over Arizona. Can the Beavers play spoiler in the league title race and pcik off the Utes as well? There’s a back story to this game, as Larry Krystkowiak and Wayne Tinkle, the head coaches for Utah and Oregon State, were teammates at Montana when they were players.

Five Things to Watch For

1. Temple at No. 21 SMU, 7:00 p.m.: The Owls and the Mustangs square off in a game with American title implications, not to mention the opportunity for both teams to solidify their tournament profile.

2. Nebraska at No. 16 Maryland, 7:00 p.m.: Maryland has had some ups and downs of late, and they’ll be tested by a Husker team that can really get after it defensively.

3. UConn at Memphis, 9:00 p.m.: Two projected American contenders will head into this game with nothing but conference tournament seeding on the line.

4. USC at No. 7 Arizona, 9:00 p.m.: The Wildcats shouldn’t have any trouble with USC at home, unless they get caught looking forward to Saturday’s game against UCLA.

5. No. 3 Gonzaga at Pacific, 11:00 p.m.: With a win, the Zags clinch a share of their 14th WCC title in the last 15 years. Not a bad run.
