Georgia landed a priority big man for many programs this spring as Michigan native Mike Edwards pledged to the Bulldogs and head coach Mark Fox on Monday night.

Edwards announced his decision on Twitter after taking official visits to Georgia and Nebraska during the recruiting process.

A 6-foot-10 native of Westland, Michigan, Edwards became a hot name among high-major head coaches this spring after a strong senior season.

Joining Edwards in the 2015 class for Georgia are three-star wings William Jackson and E’Torrion Wilridge and three-star big man Derek Ogbeide.

The Bulldogs also went up to Michigan last spring and signed forward Yante Maten, who turned out to be a great signing for them. They’re hoping Edwards can have a similar impact in their program.
