VCU freshman forward Justin Tillman will reportedly leave the program and look to transfer. According to report from Scout.com’s Brian Snow, Tillman has asked for his release after head coach Shaka Smart left for the Texas job.

A former three-star recruit from Detroit, Tillman played in 35 games for the Rams during the 2014-15 season and averaged 3.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.

Tillman only scored 12 points over the final 10 VCU games and saw his production and minutes decline towards the end of the season.

New VCU head coach Will Wade is going to have to recruit some new pieces to the roster as he also lost incoming freshmen Jordan Murphy and Kenny Williams last week when they were released from their LOI.
