With five-star forward Ivan Rabb committing to the program earlier this month, California head coach Cuonzo Martin had one question left to answer in regards to the 2015-16 season: will guard Tyrone Wallace return for his senior campaign? That question was answered Thursday afternoon, with the first team All-Pac-12 guard announcing that he will be back in Berkeley for his final season of eligibility.

Wallace averaged 17.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game last season, leading the Golden Bears in all three of those statistical categories. While he failed to score in double figures in just two games last season conference opponents were able to make things difficult for Wallace from a percentage standpoint (compared to his non-conference numbers), and as a result he finished the year shooting 42.5 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from beyond the arc.

With Wallace back Cal will return its top three perimeter players with Jabari Bird and Jordan Mathews being the others, and rising junior Sam Singer adds another ball-handling option when the Golden Bears look to give Wallace some time off the ball. They also add Georgetown transfer Stephen Domingo and incoming freshmen Tyson Jolly and Davon Dillard, with Domingo capable of giving the Golden Bears a quality perimeter shooter off the bench.

Cal has some depth questions to answer, especially in the front court with Kingsley Okoroh and Kameron Rooks (who missed all of last season with a torn ACL) being the returnees with David Kravish out of eligibility and Rabb the highly acclaimed newcomer. But even with the depth question, this is a group that talent-wise will be expected to not only return to the NCAA tournament after missing out last season but contend in the Pac-12 as well.
