In the aftermath of Arizona State making a head coaching change, replacing Herb Sendek with Bobby Hurley, commit Dominic Green was released from his National Letter of Intent. Sunday afternoon the Washington native announced via Twitter that he’ll be playing for Lorenzo Romar’s Washington Huskies next season.

The 6-foot-7 small forward from Renton, Washington originally committed to Arizona State last August on the heels of solid performances in late July and at the adidas Nations camp. With his recruitment reopened Green played for the NW Express program in the Nike EYBL, and both Pac-12 programs in his home state reportedly expressed interest before he made the decision to commit to the Huskies.

Green becomes the eighth addition to the Washington program (six freshmen, a junior college transfer and Auburn transfer Matthew Atewe), with the Huskies losing multiple players at the end of the 2014-15 season including transfers Nigel Williams-Goss and Darin Johnson. At the small forward position Quevyn Winters will be a senior next season and Donaven Dorsey a sophomore, with Mathysse Thybulle joining Green as the newcomers.
