The field for the 2015 Veterans Classic has been announced.

Florida, North Carolina and Temple will join Navy in Annapolis for the double-header that will be played on Friday, Nov. 13th, the first day of the college basketball regular season. The game will be played in honor of Veteran’s Day, a holiday that always happens to coincide with the start of college hoops.

UNC, the NBCsports.com preseason No. 1 team in the country, will square off with Temple at 7:00 p.m. in the opener, with Florida and Navy going head-to-head in the night cap.

“We are proud to once again host the Veterans Classic and pay tribute to all veterans that served our country,” said Navy coach Ed DeChellis in a statement."We have an outstanding field this year with Florida, North Carolina and Temple and for the young men coming to play it’s an opportunity to live the life of a midshipman for a day. The teams will be on our campus during the week of Veterans Day and will interact with the Brigade of Midshipmen, active members of the military and veterans. We have some special things planned for the three visiting teams and it will be a great night of basketball as well.”

Last season, Michigan State played Navy and VCU beat Tennessee in the event.
