South Carolina announced on Tuesday that three players will be transferring out of the program.

The biggest name of the bunch is Demetrius Henry, a 6-foot-9 sophomore from Florida that started 48 games in two seasons, averaging 4.8 points and 3.4 boards. Shamiek Sheppard -- who played in just seven games as a freshman -- and Reggie Theus -- who saw action in 24 games in two seasons -- will both be transferring as well.

“Following our end-of-year meetings Reggie asked for his release so that he can transfer and be closer to his family,” head coach Frank Martin said in a statement. “Reggie is a fine young man who has represented our team and program in the best way possible ever since he stepped on campus, and we want to thank him and his family for their contributions to our team.”

“Demetrius and Shamiek have also asked for their release and will not be with our team next season. We wish them the best moving forward and appreciate all that they and their families contributed to our program.”
