Naz Long’s second hip surgery in the span of a month “went as planned”, the school announced on Thursday afternoon.

The surgery was to repair a torn labrum in his right hip, the same procedure that he had on his left hip back in March.

The recovery time for this procedure is three-to-five months, Iowa State’s trainer told the Des Moines Register. That likely means that Long won’t be able to participate in Iowa State’s trip to Spain in August, but he should be healthy and ready to play by the time the Cyclones kick off their season against Colorado on November 13th.
