Nebraska lost a Class of 2016 commitment this week as junior college forward Keanu Pinder opted to open up his recruitment. The native of Australia announced his decision on Twitter.

I have decided to de-commit from Nebraska and open up my recruiting again.

The 6-foot-8 Pinder was recruited to the Huskers by former assistant coach Chris Harriman, who is now the associate head coach at New Mexico. Harriman, like Pinder, is an Aussie and the coach also played with Pinder’s dad.
It wouldn’t be surprising at all to see Pinder follow Harriman to his new school and eventually commit to the Lobos.
Pinder formerly played at Sunrise Christian Academy in his final season of high school and averaged 6.5 points and 6.1 rebounds per game during his freshman season at Hutchinson.
