Max Bielfeldt is down three schools with a possible decision coming after the holiday weekend.

The former Michigan forward told Brendan F. Quinn of MLive.com that he has removed DePaul from his list, leaving Iowa State and Big Ten members Indiana and Nebraska as the finalists.

The 6-foot-7 forward decided to transfer back in April. Bielfeldt is eligible to play next season.

Two weeks ago, Bielfeldt won an appeal that allowed him to transfer within the Big Ten, which threw the Hoosiers and Cornhuskers into contention. Indiana had dismissed Hanner Mosquera-Perea and Devin Davis from the program, leaving Tom Crean with a frontline that returns Troy Williams and adds McDonald’s All-American Thomas Bryant and fellow freshmen forwards Juwan Morgan and O.G. Anunoby.

Nebraska is also are in need of a big body as it saw two of its top two rebounders -- Terran Pettway and Walter Pitchford -- leave early and declare for the 2015 NBA Draft.

Iowa State’s frontline is anchored by Georges Niang and Jamel McKay.

Bielfeldt averaged 5.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in 14.5 minutes per game last season for the Wolverines.
