Charlotte transfer wing Torin Dorn is down to four schools and he has a lot of interest from power conference programs after winning Conference USA Freshman of the Year honors. The 6-foot-5 freshman is seriously considering Florida, Miami, NC State and Texas, according to a report from James Henderson of PackPride.com.

After averaging a team-leading 12 points per game to go along with 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game, Dorn decided to leave after head coach Alan Major was let go. Dorn also shot 50 percent from the floor and 34 percent from 3-point range.

According to Henderson, Dorn already has a visit set to Miami on June 3rd and he’s trying to set up visits at the other three aforementioned schools. Charlotte released Dorn to pursue other options except for Conference USA schools, Davidson and Tennessee.

After sitting out the 2015-16, Dorn will have three years of eligibility remaining, but he would be a nice pickup for a program that needs another perimeter scoring threat. Dorn showed promise during his freshman year and the year off could improve his game even more as he gets a year to practice at the high-major level and work on his game.
