Ole Miss will be without junior guard Stefan Moody for a good portion of the summer as he underwent surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left tibia. According to the release from the Rebels, Moody will miss 8-to-12 weeks to recover.
“Stef suffered a tibial stress that our medical staff discovered and repaired as soon as it was diagnosed,” head coach Andy Kennedy said in the release. “Although we hate that he had to go through the surgery and subsequent rehab, Stef is a very strong young man, who we expect to make a complete recovery before the start of team workouts in the fall.”
It seems as though Moody will be available by the fall, but it certainly isn’t good for him to miss valuable time to improve in the summer. Moody averaged 16.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists last season and the 5-foot-10 guard is a playmaker who can put up points.
Moody was a first-team All-SEC selection last season.
