N.C. State rising junior forward Lennard Freeman is recovering from successful leg surgery, according to a release from the school. The 6-foot-8 Freeman had surgery to heal a fracture in his lower right leg.

He will now be working with the sports medicine and team doctor at N.C. State to rehab and he’s expected to be out for 3-4 months. Freeman’s surgery was performed on June 3.

Appearing in 35 games during the 2014-15 season, Freeman averaged 19.5 minutes per game in his sophomore season. He averaged 3.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

Although it’s too bad Freeman will miss the summer to work on his game, he should be able to play during the regular season and be a regular member of the rotation in the front court.
