New Mexico’s 2015 recruiting class was completed on Tuesday morning as the Lobos landed a commitment from 6-foot-11 Serbian center Nikola Scekic, a source confirmed to NBCSports.com.

ESPN.com was the first to report the news.

Scekic spent the 2014-15 season at MMG Academy -- which stands for Max My Game -- in Orlando, the post-graduate program at West Oaks HS. The versatile big man, who had some interest from other high major programs, is a good fit for head coach Craig Neal’s offense as his skill set is fairly reminiscent of Alex Kirk. Kirk averaged 13.3 points, 8.7 boards and 2.7 blocks in his one season under Neal.

Scekic, who is 20 years old, will join a Lobo team coming off a disappointing 15-16 season where they finished just 7-11 in the Mountain West.
