UCF is losing its third-leading scorer from last season as sophomore guard Brandon Goodwin will transfer. The 6-foot-0 Goodwin will have to sit out next season due to NCAA transfer restrictions, but he’ll have two seasons of eligibility remaining once he lands at a new spot. Goodwin took to Twitter to thank the coaching staff and fans of the program over the weekend.

During a breakout sophomore campaign, Goodwin averaged 10.2 points, 4.2 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game for the Knights. Averaging 33.8 minutes a contest, Goodwin shot 43 percent from the field and 26 percent from 3-point range.

Regarded as a three-star prospect coming out of high school, Goodwin proved that he can produce in a strong league like the American, so he should have a couple of schools showing interest in the next few weeks.
