Elon transfer guard Elijah Bryant, the 2015 Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Year, announced through his Instagram page on Tuesday night that he transferred to BYU.

The 6-foot-4 Bryant averaged 14.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in his freshman season at Elon. He announced his intend to leave the program on June 29. He will have three years of eligibility remaining after he sits out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

He became a late addition to Elon, committing in April 2014 after his lone season prep season at New Hampton School (New Hampshire). He had originally committed to Samford.

Bryant will become eligible for the 2016-17 campaign, the same season T.J. Hawks, Eric Mika and Payton Dastrup all return from the LDS missions.
