For the second time this offseason, a Mississippi State basketball player has been arrested for driving with a suspended license. This time is was Xavier Stapleton, according to a report from the Clarion Ledger, who was arrested after getting pulled over for going 38 mph in a 20 mph zone.
Stapleton officially joined the program last month after transferring in from Louisiana Tech. He averaged 6.7 points as a freshman for the Bulldogs, but it sitting out the 2015-16 season under NCAA transfer rules.
In April, big man Johnny Zuppardo was arrested for driving on a suspended license when he was pulled over for running a red light.
