Nike has announced the 12 players that will be heading to the Bahamas from August 19-23 for the EYBL Select Team training camp. After working out for three days -- in the Bahamas -- the EYBL Select Team will take on members of the Bahamian National Team.

This event was specifically designed to coincide with the Under Armour Elite 24 All-American game, which takes place in New York at the same time, as a ploy to redirect kids that play on the Nike circuit from an event that’s sponsored by their rival shoe company and televised by ESPN.

Case in point: Harry Giles and Jayson Tatum both attended Elite 24 last year, while Malik Monk was on the rosters but a late no-show. Giles and Tatum are arguably the two best players in the loaded Class of 2016, kids that are a virtual lock to be one-and-done stars and eventual lottery picks. Tatum is committed to Duke and many expect Giles to commit there as well. Both play in the EYBL, and both will be heading to the Bahamas in a week.

Mission accomplished.
