Arkansas officially lost one of its marquee recruits in the Class of 2015 as forward Ted Kapita will sign a professional contract in France, according to Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com.

The 6-foot-9 Kapita was linked to attending a prep school in late August in order to help get his grades in order to potentially attend Arkansas during the second semester. Now it appears the consensus four-star prospect will never play college basketball.

Without Kapita, Arkansas will have to rely on returning players like Moses Kingsley and Trey Thompson while graduate transfer Willy Kouassi should help as an interior defensive presence. It’s going to be tough for that thin front line to help replace the production of departed SEC Player of the Year Bobby Portis.
