Four-star PG picks Mizzou

Following an official visit to the Colombia campus, CJ Roberts, a four-star point guard in the Class of 2017, announced that he had verbally committed to Missouri.

Roberts announced the news through a message on Twitter.

Roberts picked the Tigers over LSU, Ole Miss, Georgia, Texas Tech and Louisiana Tech. The 6-foot floor general serves as Kim Andreson’s first commit in the current recruiting class.

Roberts, the Richland High (Texas) senior, teamed up with Javonte Smart in a highly-sought after backcourt this summer in the Under Armour Association. Playing for Beast Mode, Roberts averaged 11.8 points per game. That scoring average nearly doubled in the UAA Finals, as he posted 22.7 points per game in a three-game stretch.
