Regarded as a three-star prospect, according to Rivals, Potter announced his decision on Twitter.

A native of Mentor, Ohio, Potter plays on the grassroots circuit with Ohio Basketball Club and becomes the second commitment for the Buckeyes in the 2016 class. Ohio State also landed an in-state front court addition in four-star forward Derek Funderburk earlier in the month.
The Buckeyes were very aggressive recruiting Potter, as he was heavily looking into N.C. State and West Virginia before opting to stick with the local Big Ten program. With long arms and great size, Potter is regarded as a solid shot blocker with a developing skill set.
