Per a report from Scout.com, SMU’s backcourt rotation will return a talented option in 2015-16.

Keith Frazier, who was ruled academically ineligible for the remainder of the 2014-15 season in mid-January, has been cleared to return to the court for the Mustangs. While Frazier wasn’t allowed to play during the second half of last season he remained part of Larry Brown’s program, and Thursday’s news gives SMU another experienced player to call upon as they look to make a second consecutive NCAA tournament appearance.

Frazier averaged 10.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game last season, shooting nearly 45 percent from the field. Frazier reached double figures in nine games before being ruled ineligible in mid-January, including a 20-point outing in a win over UCSB in early December.

Frazier joins a backcourt led by senior point guard Nic Moore, with fellow juniors Ben Emelogu and Sterling Brown providing additional experience. The Mustangs also added three freshmen to their backcourt rotation in Sedrick Barefield, Shake Milton and Jarrey Foster. SMU’s front court will be led by redshirt senior Markus Kennedy, with transfers Jordan Tolbert and Semi Ojeleye eligible after sitting out last season.

SMU, which won the American Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles last season, will once again be a favorite with UConn, Cincinnati and Tulsa expected to be in contention as well.
